Tamara has performed stand-up all over China, Canada and the United States and was second runner-up in the Beijing Comedy Festival. She has performed on Just For Laughs Montreal, The New Wave of Standup (CBC Gem), OFF JFL/Zoofest, Just for Laughs Toronto, CBC’s Laugh Out Loud, Stratford Festival, Comedy is Art Festival, and was recently featured on Out for Laughs on OutTV. She has performed at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs, Zoofest, The Debaters, and an 8th grade graduation barbeque. She once did a t-shirt collab with Macaulay Culkin and Joss Whedon not only followed her on Twitter, but he also liked all her thirst traps. She is known for producing off-kilter alternative comedy shows, from the fashion-comedy spectacular Hack Couture to the bizarre comedy game show Crap Ass. She also produces a stand-up comedy showcase for women of colour called WOC: Women Of Comedy.
Tommy Mellor
Tommy Mellor is an international performing comedian from Calgary, Alberta. He is known for his dry/deadpan delivery, unique perspectives, and low energy/high laughs approach. His comedy special, The Prince of All Comics, was released on YouTube late last year, gaining thousands of views and tons of acclaim. If you haven’t seen him around The Laugh Shop or other Calgary mainstays, now’s your chance to see him in his Sled Island debut.
Mollie Risa
Mollie Risa is a comedian, writer, and late in life goth. Hailed as sharp, self-aware and delightfully unhinged, she feels so lucky to be able to bring her cursed optimism to the Sled Island stage! You might recognize her from Gogo Battles, Big Titty Goth Girlfriend, or as your favourite wine “professional” at a wine tasting near you.
Monica Urribarri
Sweet on the surface. but spicy at the mic, Monica Urribarri is one of comedy's newest faces. With a sweet smile and a naughty sense of humor, this Venezuelan-born comedian now calls Canada home, much to immigration's potential regret. Despite their oversight, don't be fooled by her innocent appearance; armed with hilarious dirty jokes, Monica is ready to leave audiences laughing.
