HOW TO REGISTER
Registration for Sled Island 2019 is now open! All new and returning volunteers must register/re-register on Shiftboard to volunteer for Sled Island 2019. If you are a returning volunteer, please use the same email used in previous years to have your existing profile merged with your current profile. For new volunteers, please allow five business days for us to process your registration. Once your registration has been approved, you will receive a welcome letter outlining the next steps.
COMMITMENT AND PERKS
To earn a Sled Island Discovery Pass, we require a commitment of 26 volunteer hours pre-festival or 16 volunteer hours during the festival. To earn an All-Ages Pass (only for volunteers aged 16 & 17), we require a commitment of 8 volunteer hours during the festival.
If a volunteer is unable to complete all 26 pre-festival hours prior to June 17, 2019 and still wants to earn a Discovery Pass, they must join a new crew to complete their remaining required hours during the festival.
All volunteers completing their hours receive a Sled Island volunteer t-shirt, a festival pass, passholder discounts at Sled Island's community partners, an invite to the Sled Island Wrap-Up Pig Roast, plus more perks to be announced!
To inquire about our exciting pre-festival opportunities, please email email@example.com.
Volunteer crews include airport, artist lounge, art venue, beer garden/bartending, billet, comedy venue, door, film venue, hospitality, Green Island, line management, merchandise, pass pick-up, pre-fest, production, photography, relief, security, safer spaces, stage management, transportation and venue management.
More information regarding crew selection, scheduling and orientation dates will be coming in April and May.

We want to remind our volunteers that our goal is to foster the best festival experience for our patrons and volunteers, but can understand that there may be limitations that could hinder your ability to attend shifts. We are committed to doing the best we can to accommodate peoples' schedules, but this may not be possible in all cases. Considering this, we want to pre-emptively express our appreciation for your flexibility while gently emphasizing that missing shifts without sufficient notice heavily impacts your ability to volunteer at the festival in the future.
