Covid Disclaimer

While the Restrictions Exemption Program was removed by the Alberta Government on February 9, along with most associated restrictions, we believe that it is too soon to predict how the situation will evolve over the next few months and what safety measures might be required come June.

We will closely monitor the evolution of the pandemic in Alberta and comply with all public health orders in effect at the time of the festival. Please note, Sled Island may choose to implement additional restrictions to the ones required by law if deemed necessary to ensure a safe event for all. All applicable policies will be sent to pass and ticket buyers via email a few days prior to the start of the festival and will be made available on our website.

By buying a pass or ticket and attending the festival you agree to:

  • Comply with all COVID-19 safety protocols implemented by Sled Island at the time of the festival
  • Remain courteous with event staff and volunteers if asked to comply with site rules regarding COVID-19 precautions

Additionally:

By participating in Sled Island 2022, you are voluntarily assuming all risks related to COVID-19, including exposure and contracting COVID-19. Further, you agree not to hold the Sled Island Arts Fellowship liable for any damages, loss, or injury related to COVID-19, including exposure to or the contracting of COVID-19.

Failure to comply with the event’s COVID-19 policies and/or other safety protocols and those of the City of Calgary and/or Alberta Health Services will result in a warning and/or removal from the event at the discretion of event organizers. Refunds will not be issued if removed from the event for failure to comply with COVID-19 safety protocols.
