They pray at the altar of Deerhoof openly, though listen closely, and you may hear the ghost-notes of such numinous weirdos as Pere Ubu, Captain Beefheart and The Raincoats. Their sophomore release, grounders, explores the terrifying, feral, unhinged world of elementary school.
