The Calgary Downtown Association (CDA) is partnering up with us again to present this year’s Sled Alley! CDA advocates for Downtown’s prosperity and resilience on behalf of Calgarians, and a part of their mission is to help create a lively and welcoming downtown!

Sled Alley is a family-friendly, all-day party that has been extended from the alley behind The Palace Theatre onto 1st Street, between Stephen Avenue and 9th Avenue! This event will feature DJs, art, skateboarding, food, beverages, ice cream and some family-fun activities from our presenting sponsor, connectFirst Credit Union!

Art

Alcove Centre for the Arts is an organization that brings the arts community together, and provides a free public, accessible recreational art space in downtown Calgary. They will be joining Sled Alley with a collaborative art station.

Food and Beverage

Sled Alley’s Dry Bar will be selling refreshments, including great non-alcoholic beverages from our sponsors. A food truck and ice cream truck will also be on site if you’re feeling peckish. 

Arts Market

Visit Sled Alley's Arts Market for a unique shopping experience, featuring handmade goodies and prints by talented local artists, ensuring you leave with something special.

Skateboarding

The Compound Mobile Skatepark will be on-site all day, free and open to all! Bring your board, (and your safety gear), and shred the day away. 

Augmented Reality Interactivity by EarthMMO

Sled Island is partnering with EarthMMO this year to transform Sled Alley into a fully interactive gaming experience, with a questline designed to highlight all the exciting activities during the event! The founders of EarthMMO will be at their booth at Sled Alley to help anyone out on their quest!

All-Ages

As always, Sled Island’s outdoor Saturday party is an all-ages, family friendly event, and it’s going down rain or shine. Let’s party!
