While making comedic folk-punk songs under the name G.B. Loon & The Loonies, the members of Gut Balloon were intrigued by the new thrill of playing ‘80s-inspired punk and garage rock. Changing its name and sound but keeping the wit, the band has emerged as a force with which to be reckoned.
