A collaboration between Zoon’s Daniel Monkman (also playing Sled Island 2022) and Status/Non-Status’ Adam Sturgeon (fka WHOOP-Szo), Ombiigizi uses a varied palette of indie and art rock sounds to create songs that represent “Indigenous Futurism.” Their 2022 debut Sewn Back Together is already proving to be one of the most exciting records of the year thanks to its balance of shimmer and tension.
