The solo project of Preoccupations drummer Michael Wallace, LA Cop was born after one too many listens of the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack (actually.) What resulted was John Carpenter-esque episodic tracks that range from dark-wave electronica to dance-worthy disco, and as you can imagine from a member of Preoccupations, a healthy dose of post-punk stirred in for good measure.
