You’ve seen Owen Pallett at Sled Island before, but never like this. The Polaris Prize-winning composer, arranger and performer is collaborating with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) for a night of music at the Jack Singer Concert Hall on Saturday, June 23.

In the pop culture world, Pallett built his success on four ambitious solo albums, collaborations with everyone from Arcade Fire to Frank Ocean, an Academy Award nomination for his work on Her (2013), and a tireless live show centred around loops. Meanwhile, he’d earned the trust and devotion of the classical world with commissions from the Barbican, the National Ballet of Canada and the Vancouver CBC Orchestra. As far as relationship goals go, Sled Island and CPO are over the moon for this booking.
