WASIU (2017)

Montréal, QC

Even though WASIU has made a name for himself with his razor-sharp flow and high-profile collaborations with Kaytranada and Vic Mensa, the rapper’s true essence lies in his commentary on culture, racism and marginalization. Raised by a Nigerian Muslim father and Haitian Protestant mother, the self-described MTLien embodies the cultural mishmash of his home in Montreal and he's not afraid to rep it.
