New Fries were founded on the principle of inclusivity. Specifically, two thirds of its members proudly identify as non-musicians, meaning they are unshackled by conventions instilled in those who receive formal training. Akin to New York No Wave, New Fries employ rudimentary tactics to create sounds that will get you dancing and leave you scratching your head—often at the same time.
