vent/aurora
vent/aurora is a kinetic light installation composed of beautiful phenomena and the whimsy of ephemeral materials; an escapist's retreat into the everyday turned strange.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Rachael Chaisson is a multidisciplinary artist from Calgary making meditative, immersive structural installations involving light, kinetics and sound. She uses themes of communication, personal and abstracted narrative, closed systems and poetry.
Erika Andriashek graduated from the Alberta College of Art + Design in 2012 and, more recently, from the University of Calgary’s Education program in 2015. Since her initial graduation, Erika has exhibited in a number of shows throughout Alberta. She revels in filling odd spaces with organically shaped installations, growing plants, and ripping things apart.
