With members from such diverse bands as Priestess, The Stills, Les Breastfeeders and Trigger Effect, it’s no surprise that Beat Cops sound this good. What is surprising is the freshness of this ‘70s psych-indebted riff rock. The howling organ and wailing vocals might sound passé in another’s less capable hands, but Beat Cops do more than invoke the past: they improve it.
