The aesthetics of violence are an integral part of hardcore and perhaps no one knows better than Vancouver’s BRASS, who get mashed to a bloody pulp in their latest video, “Monolithic." Unabashedly unpolished, BRASS’ anthemic pessimism is a rallying cry for pissed-off punks everywhere; their bleak worldview a symptom of a larger malaise.
