While the Morrissey comparisons are warranted, Tropic Harbour’s infatuation is with utopic coastal imagery more than any sort of doomed relationship. Mark Berg, the bedroom pop wunderkind behind the project, only has one EP out associated with the moniker, but has nonetheless managed to make waves, working echoing guitar jangles and lush dreamland hooks to sedative heights.
