Maggie Vail (ex-Kill Rock Stars, Bangs, CASH Music), Kathy Foster and Westin Glass (both of The Thermals) are Hurry Up. Originally setting out to be a hardcore band, the tried and true trio make fuzzy, lo-fi punk of a more nuanced nature. The aggression is there, though, and tracks like “And Then” pit sneering vocals against gritty, stop-start riffs.
