Winnipeg has long been a haven for abrasive outsider music, starting in the ‘80s with Personality Crisis. Since then, countless bands have left a trail of crushed beer cans and blown amps in their wake as they crawl from their jam spaces to venues across Canada. tunic’s own brand of noisy punk is informed by their modern, Canadian punk contemporaries (White Lung, Nü Sensae), but amps up the darkness and despair to the nihilistic end of the world.
