DIY guy Mitch Davis was known until recently as Mitchmatic. The multi-instrumentalist writes, records and plays all his instruments in his analog studio (yes, he built the studio himself, too). Yet Davis’ sound is anything but rough around the edges. His music is best described as chic, with soulful vocals, jazz stylings and a contemporary edge. All of this, plus a little funk, is evident in his debut LP The Haunt.
