Stalwart singer-songwriter Doug Hoyer is back at Sled Island in support of his sixth album, Getting Older. Amusingly, Hoyer released the album in November as a pair of crew socks and digital download bundle. These new songs find him in a contemplative but cheery mood, pairing ruminative acoustic tracks with more upbeat songs complete with a drum machine and highly danceable riffs.
