Venue: The Anthill (148 10 Street NW)

First and foremost, we’re fans of the Market Collective and are ecstatic that they decided to hold one of their markets during Sled Island! On June 27th, the Collective moves to the Ant Hill space across from its regular location at the Carpenter’s Union Hall to expand to become a 5,000+ square foot independent market of mostly-local photographers, clothing designers, printmakers, painters, musicians, artists, lovers and makers of all-kinds! The collective draws thousands of patrons (ourselves included!) to peruse and purchase the aisles and aisles of beautifully and lovingly crafted wares. This is the absolutely perfect way to spend the Saturday after a night of late-night concert-going. It’s staggering to think that the top-notch local musicians (surrounded by the overwhelming number of amazing exhibitors) are just a cherry on top of this sundae, er, Saturday of awesomeness.
