Getting Here

Rideshare:

Road trips are one of the best ways to experience summer. Open highways, pals all around and saving money on gas. Because we want to make sure everyone finds a way to Sled Island this June, we have set up a ride share board. Feel free to use this as a way to connect with other festival goers and get your sled on this summer!

We will be working out a discount on fares the week of the festival.

Air:

Whether you are flying within North America (American Airlines, Delta, United), within Canada (Westjet, Air Canada) or from further away, all major airlines fly into the YYC Calgary International Airport.

Once you arrive, we recommend taking using public transit to access downtown and make any further connections from there. The route will connect your with the downtown core via Centre street North. The service is available all week, from 5 am until midnight, every 30 minutes. The trip is about half an hour, and your most affordable option. Customers boarding at the airport can purchase an $8 ‘Calgary Transit Boarding Pass’ at any of the Mac’s stores within the airport. Route map and schedule info.

The Calgary Allied Airport Shuttle runs every 30 minutes, seven days of the week, from 8 am until midnight. You can reserve online or purchase tickets at 403 299-9555. Tickets are $15 one way. You can catch the shuttle near gate “C” and it connects with most major hotels in the downtown core.

Car rentals and taxi service are also available at the airport.
